The 2025 KUV Data Science Contest was successfully closed in an atmosphere of excitement and pride at Keiser University, Vietnam (KUV). After several weeks of working on the model, data processing, algorithm optimization, and endless problem-solving, the participating teams were done with an incredibly practical and meaningful trip to the areas of Data Science, Blockchain – AI, which is transforming the world of the global workforce.

The KUV Data Science Contest 2025 was designed to provide the students with an opportunity to solve a real-world problem and train their thinking in the field of data analysis, programming skills, as well as problem-solving.

Considering the publicity of the fast technological advancement, particularly, the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain, the skill of interpreting Data Science and using it in practice has become a necessity. Keiser University structured this competition as part of its practice based education plan, which is aimed at leading students to global competency areas.
The journey of the 2025 Data Science Contest
Weeks of intensive learning and model optimization
Students had to keep searching and gathering data, testing various algorithms, creating processing pipelines and maximizing models to attain the best accuracy possible. This experience enabled the participants to understand the actual picture of data analytics careers and also gave Information Technology students an opportunity to be exposed to their field of choice.

Dedicated support from expert lecturers and mentors
The tournament was also accompanied by a team of very qualified lecturers and mentors in the Information Technology field:

Having profound knowledge in the fields of Information Technology and Data Science, the lecturers motivated, connected, and coached the students during the competition.

The teams did not only compete on technical level and were tested on their creative thinking, presentation and logical skills but there was a lively and professional atmosphere of academics during the contest.
