ADMISSIONS INFORMATION

Admission Requirements

Students enrolling at KUV must meet the admission criteria equivalent to those of Keiser University in the USA (not based on Vietnamese university entrance exam scores) and comply with Vietnam’s Education Law. Details are as follows:

  • High school graduation or equivalent. (*)
  • Equivalent high school diplomas recognized by Keiser University include: IB, WACE, SACE, GED, IGCSE.
  • Meet the English proficiency standard of Keiser University, specifically:
    • IELTS 6.0, or TOEFL IBT 61, or DET 95 (certificates must be valid within 24 months).
  • Applicants may alternatively submit SAT (Reading & Writing 490, Math 480) or ACT (Reading 19, English 17, Math 19).

(*) Placement Test: Students without the aforementioned certificates or diplomas may take the competency evaluation tests as prescribed by Keiser University.

(**) Equivalent Conversion: International diplomas (IB/WACE/SACE/GED/IGCSE) must meet the minimum score requirements for specific component subjects.

Degree Awarded: Original Bachelor’s Degree from Keiser University, USA.
Pathway Analysis: The most cost-effective choice. Students complete all 4 years at the Vietnam campus, receiving the exact same degree and transcript as the Florida system, but at 1/8 of the tuition fee.
General Note: For the US Transfer 3+1 pathway, transferring Year 3 credits will be strictly limited when applying to universities outside the Keiser University system, as this phase delves deeply into core major subjects.

Duration of Study

The actual training duration is calculated based on the number of credits actively accumulated by the student:

  • Associate Degree Program: Average 1.5 to 2 years.
  • Full Bachelor’s Program: Average 3.5 to 4 years.
  • The study progress can be shortened or extended depending on the number of courses registered each semester (excluding Academic English courses, if any) and must not exceed the timeframe prescribed by the State of Florida & Vietnam Education Law.

Tuition is calculated fairly based on actual credits registered per semester, listed in Vietnam Dong (VND), and is fixed throughout the standard timeframe to avoid unexpected additional fees.

Additional Fees

  • Admission Application Fee: 7,450,000 VND (Paid only once in the first semester).
  • Exam & US Student ID Fee: 4,000,000 VND (Special: 100% sponsored for the 2025-2026 Cohort).
  • Keiser University Uniform: Issued free of charge by KUV at the beginning of the course.
  • Compulsory Health Insurance: Collected and paid according to the State’s annual regulations.

Scholarships & International Credit Transfer Policies:

1. Transfer from US accredited universities: Direct evaluation for exemption of equivalent subjects if the training structures fully match.

2. Transfer from other international universities: Academic transcript evaluation is performed via the independent organization Josef Silny with a standard fee of ~$200/transcript (Students pay directly to Josef Silny or through KUV support departments).

English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

Designed to equip students with foreign language proficiency, English thinking reflexes, and essential academic skills (such as critical thinking, essay writing, presenting, citing documents, teamwork…) before entering the major. Students planning to study abroad early can also enroll in this program to familiarize themselves with international learning methods.

Tuition for International Transfer Phase

When choosing to transfer abroad in the later stages, tuition fees will apply the published fee schedule of the destination university in that country (US, Canada, Switzerland). According to the standard report Trends in College Pricing 2025 (College Board Research), the average 4-year tuition fees in the US include:

  • Public 4-year university (In-state): Approximately $11,950 USD/year.
  • Public 4-year university (Out-of-state): Approximately $31,880 USD/year.
  • Private non-profit university: Approximately $45,000 USD/year.

Scholarship Opportunities & Offers: Most students who excellently complete the 2 foundation years in Vietnam are supported to hunt for deduction scholarships ranging from 35% – 50% of published tuition or enjoy state privilege policies (paying tuition equivalent to native residents at some partner schools).
