On November 7, at the Open Space area of Keiser University, Vietnam, students had an unforgettable afternoon participating in the Cheese Fondue workshop—a fascinating and authentic Swiss cultural experience. Without having to leave Vietnam, the Seahawks could still “touch” the taste of Europe through the hot cheese dish, along with unique cultural stories shared by an international culinary expert.

Cheese Fondue – Symbol of authentic Swiss cuisine
Cheese Fondue is not only a familiar dish to the Swiss people, but also carries cultural value, tradition, and a spirit of solidarity. The dish is made from melted cheese, enjoyed with bread—a perfect combination to dispel the winter cold and bring everyone together around the warm fondue pot.
In this workshop, Keiser students learned about:
- The long-standing origin of Cheese Fondue
- Reasons why this dish became the “culinary soul” of Switzerland
- The habit of locals enjoying fondue during family gatherings and cold winter days
These insights were delivered by Mr. Roland Schilter, Representation Chef at B.H.M.S., who has over 20 years of experience in European cuisine, providing students with unique perspectives and the most authentic experiences.
