Welcome

Welcome to Keiser University, Vietnam (“KUV”). We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant and engaging student life that facilitates holistic development. Our Student Life program encompasses a variety of workshops, events, seminars, and field trips designed to enhance your educational experience, promote personal and professional growth, and cultivate a sense of community.

Orientation

The orientation program, held prior to the first day of each term, is mandatory for all new and transfer students. It facilitates the transition to KUV and familiarizes students with the mission, rules, regulations, study techniques, and counseling resources.

Online Orientation Course (Blackboard Ultra)

In addition to in-person orientation, you must complete the online Student Orientation course within your first term. This course helps you navigate the online learning environment and essential tools.

Process for Establishing a Club:

  1. Form a group of at least five interested students.
  2. Submit a proposal to Student Affairs.
  3. Enter a two-month probation period.
  4. Upon approval, officially recognized to organize events.

Health Insurance

All students are required to have health insurance (valid 12 months from registration).

  • Register: Complete the form provided at semester start.
  • Processing: Takes ~3 weeks.
  • Card: Instructions sent via email.
  • Mandatory: Late registrations are not the university’s responsibility.

Submit Photo

Submit a valid photo to Student Affairs after enrollment.

Pickup

Receive email notification. Bring ID/Passport to collect.

Lost Card Fee: 80,000 VND.
Bank: ACB (260492199) – Truong Cao Dang Viet My.
Note: Student’s Name_ID Card Reissuance.

Uniform Process

Uniforms are provided once during enrollment.

  • Submit registration form to student.affairs@kuv.edu.vn by deadline.
  • Receive confirmation email with pickup details.
  • Bring Student ID for pickup.
  • Replacements for lost/damaged uniforms are at student’s expense.

Facility Reservation

For students and clubs to book classrooms/facilities.

  • Submit Request: At least 2 business days in advance to Student Affairs.
  • Policy: First-come, first-served.
  • Usage: Leave room clean; adhere to policies.
  • Housing: Submit a “Housing Request Form” to Student Affairs for assistance with off-campus accommodation.

Graduation & Career Services

Graduation Requirements

To participate in commencement and receive your degree:

  • Complete 60 semester credit hours (24 Gen Ed + 36 Major).
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Complete last 25% of program at Keiser University.
  • Complete ETS Proficiency Profile & Exit Interviews.
  • Resolve all financial obligations.
  • File degree application with Registrar.

Resumé building, workshops, and employer connections. Students must provide a current CV to Student Affairs. Employment is not guaranteed.

Confidential support for academic challenges, career planning, and mental well-being.
Transfer Advising
For students with 30+ credits. Assistance with navigating transfer options.

Official LMS for courses, grades, and assignments. Login Here.
Online Library
Access journals, eBooks, and databases via Blackboard or LibGuides.

Tutoring: Free, on-demand tutoring is available for various subjects.

Academic Honesty Policy

Strictly Enforced

Academic dishonesty constitutes a serious breach of trust. Forms include cheating, plagiarism, fabrication, and facilitating dishonesty.

Plagiarism Penalties

  • Partially Plagiarized:

    1st offense: “F” for assignment.

    2nd offense: “F” for course.

    3rd offense: Dismissal.
  • Entirely Plagiarized:

    1st offense: “F” for course.

    2nd offense: Dismissal.

General Dishonesty Sanctions

  • 1st occurrence: “F” for assignment/exam.
  • 2nd occurrence: “F” for course.
  • 3rd occurrence: Dismissal from University.

Note: All references must be cited in APA format. Dismissed students may reapply after one full term.

Professional Standards

Professional Behavior

Students must punctually attend classes, demonstrate responsibility, and treat others with respect. Unprofessional behavior results in Administrative Action (warning or dismissal).

Dismissal Causes:

Failure to meet educational standards or deadlines.
Theft, vandalism, or illegal conduct.
Bullying, harassment, or discrimination.
Substance abuse on campus.

Standards of Appearance

Proper professional dress is expected.

Permitted:

Collared shirts, blouses, trousers, khakis, skirts (max 7cm above knee), jeans (no rips), loafers, closed-toe flats.

Prohibited:

Tank tops, yoga pants, sweatpants, ripped jeans, hats/sunglasses (indoors), pajamas, athletic wear.

Procedures & Legal Policies

Student Complaints Procedure

Submission: Complete Written Complaint Form with evidence.

Outcome: Dept issues Outcome Letter within 20 working days.

Panel: If appealing, a Complaint Panel meets within 10 days.

Grievance Procedures
Right to due process. Submit petition to Student Affairs Manager. Heard by committee (2 faculty, 2 staff, 1 student).
Anti-Hazing & Drugs
Strictly prohibited. Violation results in expulsion/arrest. Weapons are also strictly prohibited.
Privacy (FERPA)
Student records are private. Access granted to student/parents with consent. Directory info (name, major) is public unless opted out.
Title IX & Sexual Harassment
KUV prohibits sexual harassment/discrimination. Report to Title IX Coordinators. No retaliation allowed.

Transcripts: Request 2 weeks in advance. Fee: $5.00 (Official). Electronic/Pickup: $8.00.

  • Natural Disasters: Seek shelter in interior rooms. Evacuate only when instructed.
  • Medical: Call 083-333-6131 or 115. First aid kit on 5th floor.
  • Security Threats: Evacuate or lock doors. Call Security 039-298-0579 or 113.
  • Fire: Activate alarm. Use stairs (no elevators). Assemble at designated points. Call 114.

Appointment Policies
  • Appointments must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will need to reschedule the appointment.
  • If you are unable to meet with your advisor at the scheduled time, please send an email to registrar@kuv.edu.vn or student.affairs@kuv.edu.vn to cancel or reschedule.
  • Students who miss their scheduled appointment without providing written notification in advance will not be able to schedule another advising appointment for 7 working days.
