The program at Keiser University, Vietnam (KUV) is fully aligned with the program at Florida and can be flexibly transferred to universities across the United States.

Admission Requirements

The admission criteria for KUV students are the same as those for students at Keiser University in Florida. Therefore, students must meet the following requirements:

  1. Graduated from high school or an equivalent education level.
  2. Hold an English proficiency certificate such as IELTS 6.0 or higher (or TOEFL iBT, Duolingo, etc.) that is valid within 24 months from the test date, while meeting the international program entry standards as required by the Vietnamese Education Law.
  3. SAT/ACT scores or meeting the Wonderlic assessment requirements.

Note: Students who have not taken the certifications listed in (2) and (3) can participate in the Florida entrance assessment. If the result of this assessment meets the standard, students can enroll in their chosen majors. In cases where the score is not sufficient, students may need to study at the corresponding EAP (English for Academic Purposes) level based on the actual assessment result.

Degree and Transcript Issuance

Upon completing the enrollment process, students will be assigned a student ID by Keiser University, Florida. Keiser University will issue official transcripts and diplomas to students upon accumulating the required number of credits and meeting the graduation conditions of the training program.

Curriculum

Students at KUV can flexibly choose one of the following study pathways:

1. 4-Year Study in Vietnam

This is the most cost-effective pathway. Students will receive the same diploma and transcript as those studying at the main campus in Florida, while paying only 1/8 of the tuition fees compared to studying in the U.S. If students need to transfer to studying abroad during their time in Vietnam, they can still transfer flexibly.

2. 2 + 2 Pathway

This pathway is the most popular choice among KUV students. After completing the first two years at KUV, students will be awarded an Associate degree (2-year Bachelor’s equivalent) by Keiser University in the U.S. and then transfer to the main campus of Keiser University in Florida for the final 02 years of undergraduate study.

Additionally, students may choose to transfer to other reputable universities across the U.S. to complete their remaining studies. In this case, students will receive a Bachelor’s degree from the U.S. university to which they transfer. Students are encouraged to use their GPA from the first two years at KUV to apply for scholarships offered by partner universities in the U.S.

3. 1 + 3 Pathway

This is suitable for students who want to pursue specialized fields not offered in Vietnam (such as Psychology, Biotechnology, Educational Management, Airport Management, etc.).

In this pathway, students will only study courses in the General Education category (fundamental courses that are commonly required most majors at U.S. universities) and then transfer to study abroad as early as Year 2.

With this pathway, students will receive transcripts from Keiser University in the U.S. for the completed courses. In some cases, students may not be eligible for the transfer student priority rights granted by U.S. universities.

4. 3 + 1 Pathway

The 3 + 1 pathway is suitable for students who wish to study a significant portion of the program with affordable tuition in Vietnam but still have a final year of study in the U.S.

With this pathway, after completing the first two years, students will be awarded an Associate degree by Keiser University in the U.S. and continue with year 03 in Vietnam (the specialized phase). Students will then transfer to Keiser University’s main campus in Florida for year 4 and receive a Bachelor’s degree. Additionally, students also have the option to transfer to other reputable universities across the U.S. to complete the remaining courses of the undergraduate degree.

Note: With this pathway, the flexibility of transferring credits from year 3 may be less when transferring to other universities outside of Keiser University because this stage includes specialized courses.

5. Study in Switzerland Pathway

Students wishing to study in Switzerland with cost-effective tuition fees can choose this pathway.

The program entails 02 years of study at KUV with tuition fees of approximately 168 million VND per year, instead of paying CHF40,000 – CHF70,000 per year when studying directly in Switzerland. After completing the initial 2-year program, students will study an additional specialized year in Switzerland with tuition fees of around CHF30,000 (inclusive of all costs for accommodation, meals, insurance, and tuition fees in Switzerland). Students will commence a paid internship program in the U.S., European countries, or other regions (based on student preference). Upon completing the program, students will be awarded two Bachelor’s degrees.

6. Study in Canada Pathway

Students wishing to study in Canada with cost-effective tuition fees can opt for this pathway.

In this plan, students will study the first 02 years of the program at KUV with tuition fees of approximately 168 million VND per year. Subsequently, they will transfer to Canada to complete the remaining 02 years to earn a Bachelor’s degree from a Canadian university, while benefiting from the priority policies of the Canadian government for current international students.

Training Duration

The actual training duration of the program follows the pace of credit accumulation for each student. The average study duration for the initial 2-year general education program is 1.5 to 02 years, and the Bachelor’s program is 3.5 to 04 years.

The time for students to complete the program and graduate may vary depending on the number of credits they enroll in each semester. This study duration does not include academic English study time if students need additional preparation before entering the specialized phase.

The total study duration must not exceed the training duration specified by Keiser University, the regulations of the state of Florida, and the regulations of the Vietnamese Education Law.

Tuition Fees and Charges

The tuition fees for Keiser University programs implemented in Vietnam will be officially announced at the beginning of each academic year and will be quoted in Vietnamese Dong, calculated per credit. Typically, tuition fees will remain fixed throughout the standard training period of the program and are unlikely to incur additional fees.

The disclosed tuition fees in the table below represent the fees before applying any scholarships or tuition discounts (if applicable). Students will pay tuition fees based on the actual number of credits (corresponding to the number of courses) they choose to enroll in each semester.

Below is detailed information on tuition fees for the first 2-year:

In cases where students are exempt from some courses or are awarded scholarships, the total tuition fees that students need to pay will be reduced accordingly. Below are some common scenarios:

  1. Students transferring from a college or university in the U.S., having completed some courses at the Associate or Bachelor’s level (provided that the programs are accredited), may also be exempt from some corresponding courses if they match Keiser University’s curriculum.
  2. Students transferring from a college or university in other countries, having completed some courses at the Associate level (provided that the programs are accredited), may need to undergo a transcript evaluation through the independent evaluation unit Silny to determine the exact number of matching courses with Keiser University’s curriculum. The cost of this transcript evaluation usually ranges from $450 to $550 per transcript. Students can pay this fee directly to Silny or through KUV’s support.

Tuition Fees during the Study Abroad Phase in the U.S.

In reality, besides having the freedom to choose to study the entire undergraduate program in Vietnam, students can also freely transfer to most universities in various states across the U.S., or choose universities in other countries such as the UK, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, etc., to continue the remaining stage of the undergraduate program as an international student in the U.S. transferring to another university within the U.S. or a different country. In this case, students will pay tuition fees according to the fee structure announced by the university they choose to transfer to for the remaining stage of the undergraduate program.

The tuition fees of universities in the U.S. and other countries vary greatly. This depends on the type of institution (public or private), varies by city or state, depends on the chosen major, or varies based on the tuition policies of each university for different student categories. Tuition fees can range from $10,000 to $60,000 or $80,000 per year.

Typically, most students who complete the first 02 years in Vietnam will easily qualify for scholarships or preferential tuition fee policies (for example, some U.S. universities allow students from the Institute to pay the in-state tuition fee reserved for state residents or U.S. citizens coming from other states…). Commonly observed tuition fee reductions range from 35% to 50% off the fees announced by the universities.
